The pink river dolphin lives in freshwater rivers, flooded forests, and water basins. Right now it has pink skin, a flexible neck, molar-like teeth, and a long snout. I think in about 1,000 years due to climate change, the water could get dangerously hot. Therefore they will have to swim deeper in the river. Because of deforestation, there wouldn’t be that many trees by the river. Therefore the sun will shine directly on the water. This means that the pink river dolphins could get sunburned and their skin could turn to an orangeish tan. To not get sunburned they could use their snout to dig in the sand and plop it on their back as a sunscreen. This means that their snout is a physical adaptation. It’s a mental adaptation to know to swim deeper in the river. Over all, the pink river dolphin is an amazing, fascinating animal!
