The current habitat of the coqui is El Yunque tropical rainforest, and I think it’s future habitat will be the savanna. Due to greenhouse gasses being released into the atmosphere by humans, it reflects the heat back into the earth. Also burning fossil fuels increases the amount of heat getting reflected back at us. The coqui gains lighter skin to better blend into the dead grass for better stealth. It also gains sharper teeth and becomes more agile, because the rat is now part of its diet. In the environment there will be a lot more drought, and the coquí is not currently suited for dramatic changes in climate like that, so it will be dormant until the dry season is over, similar with the bears and winter season. The scientific name of the evolved coquí is the Fuscus Eleutherodactylus coqui.
