The Parasitic Candiru Fish is a fish residing in the many waterways of the Amazon. It is small, around 1-3 inches in length. It enters the gills of other bigger fish and drinks blood. But the rivers and waters of the Amazon are drying up. The solution to this little fish: go on land. As its aquatic prey dies out, the fish will start to feast on terrestrial animals stopping for water. Its first adaptation is bigger fins and a unique tail to allow it to waddle on land. It will be able to breathe through moisture on its skin. It will collect sediment on its sticky fins to make walking easier. Finally, it will have a harpoon shaped bone in its fins that it can shoot out to climb or pierce tough prey.
