Now howler monkeys are big, black, animals that live in the high canopy, their only natural threats being jaguars, harpy eagles, boas, pumas, ocelots, tayras, and crested eagles. But the most destructive predator… is not natural, its US humans are the reason for most habitat loss. Humans cut down trees that make the rain forest smaller, shrinking their habitat. In the future I think that deforestation will slow down but the damage has already been done. I think howler monkeys will get smaller so the scarce food in the shrunken rainforest will sustain their body, faster to out run the predators that will be closer to them in the small rainforest. Brownish-blackish to camouflage with the trees. So I think 1,000’s of years in the future howler monkeys are going to be Brownish-blackish, faster, and smaller.
