The green hermit hummingbird predators are small sharp shinned hawks, snakes, lizards and cats. The green hermit hummingbird eats nectar from flowers. It relies on the understory layer to fly and the forest floor to eat the flowers. It gets its water from the nectar. The green hermit hummingbird has a long beak and it is small and fast. Some problems that I think will affect the green hermit hummingbird is the rising ocean.
In the future, the rising ocean will destroy the flowers that the green hermit hummingbird eats and it will have to eat small insects. If this happens the green hermit hummingbird will have less food and it will have to find another food source the green hermit hummingbird might have to adapt by getting teeth and eating small insects to survive. This is how the green hermit hummingbird will survive and adapt in the future.
