The leopard, otherwise established as the panthera pardus, is a big, powerful, solitary cat that is known for its rosettes or spots. The present leopard's current habitat is in the tropical rainforest, where it has dark fur tones to help it blend into the dark, dense forest. Rainforest leopards are typically quite big and muscular since they are apex predators in their environment. The future leopard's habitat will be the savanna. Savanna leopards are typically smaller and more agile, and have bigger ears that help take in cool air. They also are more migratory, due to the seasonal rainfall.
I think that the rainforest will change to the savanna by becoming hotter with less annual rainfall, and that there will be a lessened amount of trees. The adaptations that leopards will gain are bigger ears, a more agile body, lighter fur tones, and becoming migratory to find water or rain.
