In its habitat, the caimans main reliances on water will become insufficient and will become a drag for the animal due to global warming. The adaptations I have made for the animal can help it live better in dryer places. The back of the caiman now has a spine that holds water. The black caiman also now has sweat glands to cool off for the heat. The animal now walks similar to an ant eater walking on its knuckles and using its claws to dig under ground. Its teeth have grown to shred and cut apart meat so the main hunting strategy will no longer work in the shallow water, and now it brings down the prey by hunting it down. The size of the black caiman has decreased down to a medium sized dog but has protective scales/scoots to make sure it's protected from predators.
