Tokay Geckos live in Southeast Asian rainforests. One adaptation includes toe pads that enable them to climb high. Another adaptation is their ability to camouflage to blend into their environment. Their diet consists of insects and small vertebrates like frogs, mice, and crickets. Due to sea levels rising, Tokay Geckos’ home will become a swampy marsh. An adaptation they'll need is rough, brown skin to blend in with trees, so predators and prey don’t spot them. They will also have webbing between their arms and legs to glide from tree to tree, along with a larger tail to stabilize them while gliding and landing. A longer and stickier tongue will help them catch bugs. Their diet will change because the ground has turned to water, and crickets and mice won't be available . Instead, they will eat flying insects like dragonflies and moths. If Tokay Geckos adapt, they might survive.
