Black Caiman Adaptions

The Black Caiman currently lives in many places but today we will be focusing on the Amazon River Basin. It thrives in lakes and wetlands but because of deforestation and climate change things are changing. So the black caiman should to. To survive, it will develop longer legs to navigate on land quicker, a tough armored belly that allows it to stay protected and safe. It will also have scales that can camouflage into its surroundings to keep it safe from other predators. As well as a reinforced and protected neck to help it stay safe from threats. The caiman's survival will depend on these adaptations to help it stay safe and protected.
