The jaguar is living in the Amazon Rainforest of South America, where it hunts in the forests near rivers and wetlands. It is an aggressive mammal with really good traits such as strong muscles, powerful jaw, sharp claws and golden fur covered in black spots for camouflage. The climate change might make the rainforest hotter and drier, causing a loss of habitat and prey animals. In response the jaguar may develop thinner fur to release heat. Another adaptation includes the change of larger ears for better cooling the body. If the forests get more spread out, it might get them to develop longer legs to make long distance more manageable. They might also develop a flexible diet since because of the dry weather many preys are dying. This adaptation will make sure that the new environment is comfortable for the jaguar to live and reproduce.
