Australia cassowary’s rainforest habitat sees huge changes in 1,000 years because of climate change and people, as their habitat shrinks from deforestation, warmer temperatures and dryer conditions, and severe weather like intense forest fires. Coastal range of beaches/marshes it likes will flood with rising sea levels, lots of low-lying areas will be underwater! Cassowary will evolve to having webbed feet and a longer neck so it can eat fruit on trees that will grow taller to stay above sea level and it will grow bigger, stronger legs to jump/climb to higher ground. The casque (helmet on top of its head) will evolve to be thinner because dense vegetation it uses to get through its present habitat will be less thick. The casque will grow taller as it helps cool off its body. Its coloring will be less vibrant to blend in with browner surroundings.
