The animal that I have chosen for this challenge is a toucan. The toucan lives in the rainforest and is an omnivore, meaning that it eats both plants and animals. In 1,000 years, I predict that the toucans’ habitat will become a swamp or wetland. These are the adaptations I think the species will make: - Webbed feet. Most animals that live near the water have webbed feet, so it makes sense for the adapted toucan to have them too. - A narrower bill. I predict this because, in a wetland, most animals get their food from the water. If the adapted toucan has a narrower bill, it will be easier for it to catch fish or sea-plants. These are all the adaptations I think the toucan will make!
