Armadillos in the future

It is the year 3000 and all rainforest animals are not what they used to be. Specifically, the Giant Armadillo, who had to evolve to survive. The reason, all rainforests were cut down turning them from tropical paradises to dry savannahs. The animals that lived there had to now evolve to climb trees Giant armadillos Had to make many changes, including their shells fell off, they grew claws, and their tail became big and heavy. These changes were mostly because only the animals that were powerful enough survived on the ground. There shells fell off because they were weighing them down too much to climb. There claws grew and became curved because otherwise they would not be able to climb. And their tails grew huge to balance in high places, such as trees. These changes have, of course, not happened but by 3000, anything can happen
