The Margay, though lesser known, will change with the climate, too. It might split off into two separate subspecies. The Jungle Margay would be adapted to eat less food, accounting for the lack of space for prey to roam. It would also start losing it’s spotted coloring, as the canopy would be less dense. The Savannah Margay would move into old rainforest areas, where plants are just starting to reappear. It would be the same color as the savannah grass, with dirt colored paws. The Savannah Margay would also be accustomed to less food and water. It might eat weaver birds, making homes in abandoned nests. Both Margays will keep some of the old pattern, as evolution is slow, and they will keep their size, as they are only two feet long. So, the Margay will change.
