The animal that I have selected is the toucan. Today, toucans live in the rainforest and have adapted to the current climate. In order to survive, toucans have developed long beaks in order to reach berries and other food that is higher in branches. There are many animals, including many toucans, in the rainforest. Because of this, the food supply that is there currently will be diminished as the years go on. The adaptation that I think toucans will make in the future is growing an even longer beak so that they can reach food that no other animal can. In order for the species to survive, they need to have a food source. With a longer beak, they will be able to reach that food source quicker. Overall, having a longer beak will help toucans to survive and thrive in the rainforest.
