The flying fox bats are very intelligent and can attain a very large wingspan. Their wings can grow up to 5 feet with a head and body length of 16 inches. They are currently living in the rainforest and mangroves, but their habitats might change in the future. The mangroves might overflow with water because of the melting glaciers. The rainforest could possibly dry up and become a savanna with less trees to live in, estimated to happen in the next 30 years. They would need to adapt to new locations to sleep and this could affect their size because they are large animals. Their eating habits could also change. They currently eat fruit, but with the change in habitat they might start eating small bugs and rodents because of the lack of fruit. Their claws might also grow to have a better grip on their prey similar to an owl.
