The Macaw is a colorful bird that lives in the dry areas of the rainforest. Macaws have big beaks to eat nuts, seeds, and fruit. The rainforest provides a clean climate, food, water, and shelter for the Macaws. If climate change worsens, then by 2050 the rainforest will turn into Savannah terrain. The Macaws will have to develop the ability to store water in order to survive the hot Savannah. They will also have to change their diet for survival. They will have to eat small lizards and termites since there will be very little fruits, nuts, and seeds in the new environment. I think that it will take the Macaws over 100 years after the rainforest becomes a Savannah terrain to fully adapt to the environment. The biggest fear is that the birds will not be able to adapt and can possibly go into extinction.
