My current animal’s habitat is the Pantanal Rainforest which is the largest tropical wetland. My animal is a Jaguar. They are really good swimmers and can swim across lakes. They can also hunt really large animals and fish. Their future habitat will be flooded since it rains a lot in a rainforest, the water will start rising and overflowing their land. Jaguars will need nictitating membranes to protect their eyes so that they can see underwater, and they will need better fur that will camouflage with leaves and the green water so the Jaguars prey won’t see them coming. Capybaras, deer, tortoises, iguanas, armadillos, fish, birds and monkeys are just some of the prey that jaguars eat. If the water goes higher they won’t be able to find some animals that they hunt because those animals would migrate somewhere else.
