The chameleon has 171 species and more than 50% live in Madagascar. The chameleon can grow up to 20 inches and it’s smallest size being 12 inches. Chameleons can change color rapidly to scare off predators, but commonly change color to regulate its temperature, not to blend in. Madagascar is an island which has many tropical areas but also areas with savannas. It is currently facing deforestation. I think Madagascar will have many more savannas do to deforestation. Madagascar may also become smaller because it is an island. All of its species are adapting to it though. I think the chameleons will shrink in size down to 15 inches max and 7 inches at smallest if they stay in the rain forests. I think they will also grow webbed feet to get across areas with water, since the forests will be more wet. It will be called the Colossal Chameleon.
