Aquarius Toucan

In 1000 plus years, the toucan will look very different because of its surroundings. If global warming continues at the rate it is, the sea levels will rise and flood the rain forest. The toucan’s adaptions to this will be webbed feet, so it can easily swim if it needs to, and a bigger lung capacity. The webbed feet will still be flexible enough for the toucan to perch on a tree branch, but strong enough for it to easily glide through the water, and the outside appearance will get slightly bigger due to the larger lung capacity, but not so big that the bird will have trouble flying. Even though these adaptions to the animal will affect it, they will still easily be able to fly when they need to.
