The Toucan currently lives in the rainforest, surrounded by trees and other plants. Throughout the future, trees will be cut and burned down, leaving the rainforests bare and damaged. Due to the lack of trees, Toucans will spend more time walking than perching on tree branches. Over time, they will develop feet with three toes, better for walking. They will also become smaller caused by pressures from predators. Pressures from predators become stronger because there are less trees, making it easier for them to hunt. Being smaller will help them hide from predators easier. They will also develop a smaller beak because there is no need to get into hard-to-reach places, like cores of trees. Since the majority of trees are not in the surrounding areas, Toucans will not be able to get into cores of trees.
