Toucans are found in South and Central America in the canopy layer of the rainforest. The toucan is important to the rainforest because they help disperse seeds from the fruits and berries they eat. The toucan will most likely not be found in rainforests after climate change. They will be found in deserts and they will not be easy to find in the future. The toucan will probably be extinct in 1000 years. The toucan bird will have to adapt be able to handle heat, not having trees to nest in, and low water supply. They will have to do this because the desert is hotter than the rainforest. There also aren’t tree’s to nest in the desert. The rainforest gets up to seven feet of rain a year, that is not the case in the desert.
