Toucans are birds that live in the rainforest. A toucan has a beak designed for eating berries and colorful feathers for blending in with the flowers and fruits of the rainforest. In the future, the rainforest might become swamps. Here is how I think the toucan will look then. First, it might change its diet from berries to fish. It might have its lower jaw longer than its upper jaw to spear foods in its mouth and long legs to stand above the water. In addition, its long legs will also be brown to look like branches to camouflage. It might also have big feet for trapping fish and gray feathers for blending in with the carbon dioxide (pollution) in its environment. Lastly, another adaption would be that it might also have longer wings to fly longer distances when food is scarce.
