The macaw in the future would most likely have adapted to using the oil their preen glands produce to rub over their feathers making them more water resistant like ducks. That would help it in its every day life in heavier rains because of the ice caps melting adding more water to the rain cycle. With the rainforests starting to shrink in their main location their wings would adapt to flying more, a common swifts wing structure is curved, very long and their legs really short however they can fly for long periods of time without landing. Macaws wings could adapt to being more curved so when they fly they glide more using less energy so they can fly for longer periods. They would still be able to land but this way they can search for food farther away when their food source becomes limited with the decreasing rainforest.
