Here are some possible adaptations that rainforest hummingbirds could have in the future. With global warming the world is getting hotter so hummingbirds need a way to cool down faster. They could grow longer legs which would be easier for them to cool down. With all of the trees getting cut down hummingbirds are losing their food sources. They could get a stronger immune system so they could eat different food sources, such as worms. They would need to develop a better sense of smell so they could smell new food sources other than nectar. They would also need better senses so they could tell if a predator was near so they could escape. I predict that the flowers they usually eat will get longer so they will need longer beaks. In conclusion these are some ideas of what could happen and what hummingbirds would need to survive.
