The chameleon has many adaptations in it’s own natural habitat, but thousands of years from now it may look a bit more different. The present day chameleon likes to lurk around in the trees, and catch its prey with its tongue. Its colors reflect off of the blue river in the rain forest. Making it easier when getting water, and when confusing predators with camouflage. In the future, I think that the chameleon would look more like an armadillo. With a broad armored body with some spines. It will have gills, to breathe underwater, so that way it does not have to breathe in the harmful air. I also think it will have a more darker camouflage pattern. The habitat will be like a not so beautiful savanna. Global warming will impact the chameleon, giving it many more adaptations in the future.
