This is the present three-toed sloth. The three-toed sloth lives up in trees and stays up there because they are prey to animals. The other animals are too heavy to go on the tree so the sloths stay there. The sloths adapt to their environment by helping the bugs in their fur will shelter while the bugs give them camouflage. Sadly in the future, if the sloths don’t go extinct, then they will have to adapt. The sloths might adapt by having less fur because it will be hot and the bugs will not be able to help them. They might also live underground and again because of climate change they will be too hot, so scientists expect them to dig holes and live underground. So this is what might happen to sloths in the future.
