The blue and yellow macaw lives in the tropical rainforest of South America and it already has many amazing adaptations. It has a diet of fruits, vegetable matter, seeds, nuts, leaves and bark. The blue and yellow macaw is a large bird with long blue and yellow tail feathers. Because of sea level rising, the rain forest will become a swamp. It will need to adapt by learning how to swim. It’s body will transform into webbed feet and a flat tail to help it swim better. Because it will be living in a very swampy habitat, it’s bright colors could become darker green colors so it could blend in with its habitat more. One more adaptation is their beaks will adapt by becoming bigger, making it easier for it to catch fish in the swamp. The blue and yellow macaw is an extraordinary animal as you can see.
