The toucan lives in the high branches of the rainforest canopy. They can adjust their blood flow to their beak to regulate their body temperature. By controlling their heat loss, they won’t overheat in their tropical habitat. Toucans eat nuts, berries, and insects. Due to global warming I think in the future the toucan’s tropical habitat will turn into a swamp. Toucans will grow a sharper beak to help them eat fish from swamps. Their new small sharp eyes can see small prey while flying high in the air. They will also have feathers hanging over their head to provide shade. The toucan will have more agility to run and fly from potential predators and instead of living in trees, will live under the bushes surrounding the swamp. With these adaptations I think the toucan will have the potential to survive in the future.
