I chose the Crowned Eagle as my vertebrate animal living in a tropical rainforest. The Crowned Eagle is a massive bird of prey that primarily feeds off of small mammals and lizards. The habitat change I chose for my eagle is rainforest to a desert due to climate change and deforestation. My first picture is of the Crowned Eagle in a rainforest perched on a branch and surrounded by foliage. My second picture is of the eagle on top of a dead, broken tree branch above the desert. In the second picture, after tens of thousands of years had passed, the Crowned Eagle has undergone a couple of changes. Its wingspan is broader because it no longer has to account for trees obstructing its flight, while the animal as a whole is smaller. It is also lighter and more sandy in terms of color to blend with the desert surroundings.
