Future Creatures Contest

The animal I picked was the Striped Possum, it lives in and spends most of its time in trees. The striped possum would be one of the most affected animals in the rainforest due to climate change. Due to climate change, there will be more natural disasters because of water levels rising, some natural disasters like earthquakes or hurricanes can knockdown many trees and destroy the Possum’s main habitat making it have to find a new place in the rainforest to adapt. The possum would have to adapt by using the ground to get around and to find food because a lot of trees would be knocked down or dried out. Due to unpredictable weather patterns, the possum would have to store all its stuff in one spot and be prepared for anything to come. A lot of land would turn to grasslands and dried areas because of climate change.
