Currently, Choriaster Sea Star lives in coral reefs. The maximum size of a Chorister Sea Star is 27cm. With the volume of plastic being released into the ocean parts of the ocean are/will be covered in plastic trash. Many coral reefs will be destroyed because of climate change and Choriaster Sea Stars will need a new home. I think when Choriaster Sea Stars evolve they will become smaller and live in plastic debris in the ocean. They will eat algae and other organisms that live with them in this plastic habitat. Since they are have evolved so much they will need a new name. Anang. Anang means star in Ojibwe. Ojibwe are Native Americans. Native Americans protected and respected nature. We should respect and protect nature so Choriaster Sea Stars don’t evolve to live in plastic.
