The Cheetah is a large cat native to Africa and the Middle East and is the one of the fastest land animals. Cheetahs are listed as “Vulnerable” but now scientists want to uplist them to “Endangered” as there is a decline in their population. In order to help them survive, they need to evolve into a better animal. In one way, they need retractable claws so they climb trees so that they can be better prepared to pounce on predators or catch them hiding in trees. They also need better lungs, because they can only run half of their speed when chatting prey and they need half an hour to catch their breath before eating. Lastly, they need to be able to roar to scare away predators instead of meowing. With these adaptations, Cheetahs will become more advanced and will not become extinct and will live for millions of years.
