You probably looked at my title and thought, that’s not a tropical animal, when really it is. Seahorses live in coral reefs which are the rainforest of the ocean world. Presently seahorses rely greatly on the coral reefs they live by for survival, but in the future due to climate change they could lose that habitat. Present seahorses aren't great swimmers so in the future if they lose their habitat they will need to develop bigger pectoral fins to enhance their swimming power. They will also have to rely more on algae for food as microorganism could become more uncommon. Hopefully these changes will occur much later in the future as if the seahorses had to adapt like this quickly they might not survive, but if this happened slowly over time the chances are in the future seahorses will be better adapted to survive, and perhaps even thrive.
