One animal that lives in the rainforest is the sloth. Sloths have gray/brown fur that helps them blend in with the trees that they live in. They have long legs and curved claws which help them climb these trees to escape from predators. Additionally, sloths move slowly in order to regulate their temperature in cold environments. If climate change occurs, and their rainforest becomes a savannah, sloths will have to adapt in order to survive. For example, there will be fewer trees and sloths will have to adapt to live on the ground. In order to do this, their fur color will change to gray/yellow to help them blend in with the ground. Additionally, they will develop other methods to conserve heat, which will allow them to spend more energy to move faster which will help them avoid predators on the ground.
