The Macaw has a powerful beak that allows them to easily break into nuts. Their scaly tounges have a bone that makes it an effective tool for tapping into fruits. It protects itself by flying away. If it can't fly away, it protects itself by biting, scratching, and swatting the predator. Their numbers are decreasing due to rainforest destruction or deforestation, and people capturing them for pets. Because of this, I think in the future, the Macaw will be extinct, due to destruction and hunting.
