The Giant Pandas are exactly what they sound like. They are Pandas that are larger than the regular average Pandas. The Giant Pandas live in special rainforests in China. They are called bamboo rainforests. Their diet consists of mostly bamboo. They eat about 26 to 84 pounds per day. As you know, rainforests are very humid. Giant Pandas have thick skin that blocks out wet things. They have strong jaws and large, flat molar teeth. To pluck and hold bamboo, they have elongated wrist bones that work much like thumbs. However, climate change is making rainforests even hotter than they already are! Sometimes it can dry out all the water! Bamboo would dry out and that would mean that the bamboo rainforests would not be able to survive. If the bamboo in the rainforests stop growing, Giant Pandas would not have anything to eat. They would all starve to death!
