The Harpy eagle has evolved from being a predator of the skies into an omnivorous species. It still dominates the skies but with a smaller nest, longer neck, and larger beak, it is able to eat berries too. This new harpy eagle has larger talons, quicker development in eggs, less time required until flight from birth, and can nest in smaller trees. These new harpy eagles have also developed a fear for humans knowing they bring destruction in their wake. They are faster and more agile than before. They are from 15-20 mph faster. The bold harpy eagle has changed to match its new home. What was once a lush land of tropics, has now become a mixed woodland, home to those who have evolved due to the human’s effect on environment.
