Many different types of animals live in the rainforest, porcupines being one of them, the main type of porcupine that lives in the forest is coendou prehensilis (Brazilian porcupine). With the water levels continuously rising, the rainforest will soon be flooded with water especially with the amount of rainfall each year. In order to be able to survive with the rising water levels, the Brazilian porcupine, one adaptation they may have is webbed paws. Having webbed paws allows for porcupines to be able to travel from tree to tree by using the water. Since porcupines are not able to swim, having webbed paws allows that and makes them travel faster in water which would also be helpful in escaping predators.
