Sloths: From the 2020 to 4020

My animal is a sloth, the slow-moving creature that climbs through the trees...now. In 2000 years from now, I believe that sloths will be different animals altogether. In my first picture there is a sloth during the present day. The second picture features a sloth 2000 years in the future. I imagine that in the future, sloths would live in swampy areas because of sea level rising, with features to help them swim. Their feet would become webbed, and they would have sharp, small spikes where the tips of their claws used to be. This would help them tear apart seaweed and aquatic plants in their new diet. Also, their eyes would be bigger and water resistant, sort of like built-in goggles. Lastly, they would have thick fur that is waterproof, and can keep the sloths warm.
