The Amazon River Dolphin, also known as Botos, live mostly in the Amazon river. The water of the Amazon is very murky, so botos use echolocation.Due to climate change, I think that the Amazon will turn into a swamp in the future because of lower amounts of freshwater flowing into the Amazon from the Peruvian Andes, so the Botos will have to adapt to the new habitat. I think, overtime, they will grow feet, have a wider mouth, grow eyelids and a tail! The feet will be webbed and will allow the botos to walk on land. The wider mouth will allow them to eat bigger prey. The eyelids will protect their eyes when they’re outside of the water. The tail is for aquatic propulsion and for defense against other predators.
