Pandas survive on bamboos. Unfortunately, scientists predict that climate change is set to wipe out much of the bamboo on which the bears rely for food. Given that pandas live only at elevations higher than land, they will be forced to move to higher mountains as a result of global warming. To stay alive, they will need to develop stronger and bigger body structures. Because most of the bamboo supply will be destroyed, pandas, besides bamboos, will start eating other animals smaller than them. Consequently, pandas are likely to have longer paws and sharper claws to attack and kill their prey. Their digestive system and sense of smell will evolve into those of bears. They will be less friendly and distance themselves from humans more and more.
