Jaguars live in the tropical rainforests of the Yucatan Peninsula, in Mexico and Central America. The biggest threats to Jaguars are deforestation and man. Deforestation is causing fragmented forests. The jaguar will have to travel between the forests for food and mates. They will need to run faster and may develop longer legs. Hunters and ranchers are a big threat to jaguars. They kill them for their furs and to protect their cattle. Jaguars may develop thicker bulletproof skin and muscles which will make them larger. Therefore, my future jaguar will be larger in size, because of thicker skin and muscle, and it will also have longer legs to run faster.
