The Dirt Monkey

The squirrel monkey is very capable of adapting to its new dry, barren environment, so I present the Dirt Monkey. They have long claws to dig holes in the ground to hide and sleep. They are a red, brownish color for camouflage. They would be 2x smaller so they can run faster and hide in limited, smaller areas. Their ears are smaller, for a more streamlined body. They can last days without food or water and still maintain their energy. They have their own filter system in their nose to filter polluted air due to the greenhouse effect. They have a bad smelling and tasting pheromone that scares away predators. The greenhouse effect will cause it to be very hot, so it will need its own cooling system.They will have a wiry fur that keeps them warm when it is cold and cool when it is hot outside.
