I believe climate change will modify the rainforest by making it a desert. Humans will cut down trees and cause the carbon dioxide rate to skyrocket. Trees feed off carbon dioxide and release oxygen. Since there’ll be no trees, they won’t be able to generate their own rainfall, therefore making a desert. There’ll be wildfires, so an animal likely to adapt is the Black Caiman. The Black Caiman is in South America and is 16.4 feet! To protect itself from fires and predators, it’ll have an exoskeleton made out of chitin. To walk above fire, its legs will grow longer. It’ll have an orange belly and a white back to reflect heat and to blend in. It will change its diet and develop a beak to harvest nectar from flowers and to peck bugs. This is how the Black Caiman will evolve in order to survive in this new world.
