Binturongs are mammals and they live in Southeast Asia in tropical rainforests where it is dense and moist. They are arboreal animals which means it spends most of its time on tree’s. Their tail helps them keep balance to hold on the branches, and they can turn their ankles 180 degrees. Binturongs have scent glands on its tail to mark its territory, and it smells like buttered popcorn! They eat fruit, insects, and birds. Binturongs are losing their habitat and they are getting captured. Because of this they can't live here anymore and in a thousand years they will have new adaptations. They will live in caves and I think they will camouflage next to grass to hide from predators. They will eat fish for their food and they have a toxic smell on their tails to get rid of predators. They can hold their breath for 10 minutes.
