The Jaguar lives in different places but it mostly lives in Central America in the Amazon Rainforest. A thousand years from now there is a flood that floods the entire Forest. They are already really good swimmers but the water stayed for a long time. The jaguars need to survive. The jaguars start to develop gills and fins and a special new part to the body to protect from the water pressure. The jaguar also starts to lose its ears but not its hearing, the body genetically allows the Jaguar to hear but not have ears. The jaguar’s body also changes color. Instead of bright colors it gets dark colors so it can camouflage. The jaguar also loses his tail. The jaguar still has the front two paws to help him push around in the water. Now the Jaguar is able to survive underwater and thrive.
