The present Macaw lives at the top of a tall tree in a tropical rainforest in South America. It eats seeds, juicy fruits, leaves and nuts. It is blue and yellow with a sharp pointy beak and claws. The Future Macaw A million years later, global warming made the earth flood with water when the icebergs melted. The rainforest became muddy with no more trees. Instead the new rainforest is now surrounded by water. It has grass and plants. The macaw had to adapt to survive. It now lives in the tunnels that it digs underground. The Macaw changed color from blue and yellow to brown and yellow to camouflage itself in the mud. The macaw hunts in the ocean around the rainforest for fish. It formed duck like feet to swim and a hawk shaped beak to fish with. It eats fish that it hunts.
