The current habitat of the Amazon Rainforest is the home of the Toco Toucan. The rainforest is a place with tall trees and constant rain. We all know about the toucan and what it looks like, but what if it looked different in 500 (or so) years. The Amazon Rainforest should become a scrub land. What would happen to the toucan if so? To adapt to there are three things that would need to happen. The toucan would need to fly more because there are no trees and the ground is full of predators. They would need to live in shrubs. They would need to eat more bugs and eggs because there would be no more fruit. They would not need a long bill anymore because they would not have to reach far to get food. Their current habitat is the rainforest and their future habitat is scrub lands.
