South American Coati

The animal I chose is the South American coati. It's an omnivore that eats primarily fruit, small invertebrates, and eggs. The change in climate was a drought that caused the plants that bear fruit to dry up and stop producing fruit. The adaptations I gave the Coati are tougher and sharper claws and more teeth that are specialized to tear apart animal flesh. The claws are used to dig more easily and to kill prey more easily. The coati's diet will now consist of primarily roots and the same animals it ate before.
